A Little Bit About Us!

Garry and Pat know before you'll be inclined to do business with them you probably want to know more about them! They invite you to read the following and learn a little about their experience with horses.

Garry Westergaard has been in the horse business as a horse trainer and breeder, farrier, clinician and judge for more than 40 years.

Starting and developing young horses are his specialty. He has a philosophy that all horses, whether destined for the showring, reining pen, or racetrack, should have the same basic education and then move on to specialized training.

Garry has spent many years breaking horses and working cattle in the big ranch country of south central British Columbia. He has developed horses for the show and sales ring and also prepared horses for the race track.

Handling stallions and broodmares also play an important role in Garry's career.

In addition to his weekday duties, Garry finds the time to conduct horsemanship clinics and judge horse shows on the weekends.

From the ranch country to the show and sales ring, the race track to the breeding farm - Garry feels blessed that over the years he has been able to work with, and gain experience from, so many master horsemen and horsewomen!

Pat is a Canadian Equestrian Federation (CEF) Level I Western Coach and was associated with 4-H (the equine program) for over ten years.

This is a picture taken June 07 at a local horse show and everyone having a good time. All three of these horses are off-springs from our 2 stallions HS Thirty Thirty and Candid Cameron.

Garry is breaking this big Quarter Horse to be a pony horse for the race track and, at the same time, teaching this 2-year-old Quarter Horse how to pony and lead. Taken April 2008.
